​Koinonia is a community experience in Christian living designed especially for adults. This N.E.W. retreat weekend is an official program of the Diocese of Superior.
 Koinonia is a Greek word meaning “community.”  Individuals making a Koinonia retreat are referred to as “candidates.”  The group of laity and clergy directing and assisting at the retreat are referred to as the “team.”  As the weekend progresses and as team and candidates reflect on the very heart of our Catholic faith, the paschal mystery of our Lord, Jesus Christ, they form a bond, a community, a “Koinonia.”
